Scouts Scuba
We offer two options for Scouts – the SCUBA BSA, which results in a recognition patch, and the SCUBA Merit Badge. We have a Merit Badge Counselor on staff to assist your Scouts to achieve their Merit Badge. And there is no charge for our dive buddies when they utilize our Merit Badge counselor.
Our simple pricing plan is available for Boy Scout groups troops with 8 or more and includes everything including rental life support equipment during class and open water certification dives (normally $99 for open water rentals). Open water certification dives are organized for each troop to accomodate family schedules.

Programs
SCUBA BSA The Scuba BSA is an award program that includes an experience contains two parts — Knowledge Development and Water Skills Development. During the first part, participants learn basic dive safety information and overview skills to be used during their water experience. The Water Skills Development session introduces essential dive skills, such as mask clearing, regulator clearing, and alternate air source use. The Scuba BSA program is conducted in clear, confined water by an instructor certified by diving organizations recognized by the BSA. This program is open to all scouts - whether Scouts of America, Girl Scouts or Sea Scouts.

Scuba Diving Merit Badge "Start with a dash of swimming skills (the Swimming merit badge). Add equal measures of aquatics first aid, safety, and conservation" This 4-6 week program results in your scout earning either Adult (at age 15) or Junior Open Water Scuba Diver certification. We teach the entire Open Water Scuba program with a focus on the core skills and additional Scouting requirements regarding career opportunities and conservation. It is recommended for Scouts who have completed the SCUBA BSA award patch programs and have expressed further interest in the underwater world. We complete the required Open Water certification dives in local waters during summer months and in Florida in winter and early spring months. This program is open to all scouting groups - whether Scouts of America, Girl Scouts, Explorers or Sea Scouts. |

Pricing quoted is for groups of scouts from the same troop with a minimum of 6. Individual scouts may join a group class. Please inquire with our divew team for pricing for individual scouts.
