Back inflate BCDs have an air bladder on the back, leaving the diver’s chest area unemcombered, resulting in more free movement of the arms and is known to feel less restrictive. Back inflate BCD’s are known for positioning the diver in a more flat horizontal face-down position in the water than jacket style BCDs.
